Sales Associate Store
About The Position
As a Sales Associate/Cashier at Maplefields, you will be on the front line of the company’s relationship with customers. During your shift, you will cash out customers, assist them with self-checkout, and complete a variety of tasks to keep the store clean, stocked, and ready to serve customers. You will also properly monitor and complete age-restricted sales. Shifts vary by location and are based on store business needs. Schedules are flexible and should be discussed with your manager, who will work with you to provide your desired hours whenever possible. Benefits are available to employees designated as full-time and working 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and serve them in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate the cash register, accept various forms of payment, make change, and maintain proper cash levels.
- Learn to count down and properly close a register at the end of a shift.
- Assist customers with self-checkout.
- Monitor and complete age-restricted sales properly.
- Keep coffee full and hot and maintain a clean coffee bar.
- Stock products, maintain product levels, and rotate older products to the front to maintain freshness.
- Maintain and improve the store’s appearance, including keeping the register area clean and free of trash and clutter.
- Complete shift tasks assigned by management and other tasks as needed.
- Perform general property maintenance, including sweeping, weeding, shoveling, and salting.
- Operate a lottery terminal.
- Print and file all necessary store-close reports.
- Complete tasks to prepare the store for morning coffee and breakfast rushes and lunch or afternoon rushes, depending on the shift.
- Complete cleaning or stocking duties that may be difficult to perform during busy daytime hours.
