About The Position

The Sales Associate supports store operations and provides hospitality to guests by processing transactions, maintaining a clean and orderly store, stocking merchandise, and preparing cooked foods as directed. The role includes responding to customer concerns and following Yesway standards and the store maintenance schedule. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Successfully complete required certification testing upon employment.
• Move merchandise or equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Stand on concrete floors for a standard eight-hour shift.
• Receive and stock merchandise at various heights, normally using stooping, bending, and stretching motions.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitality to store guests by ensuring timely transactions, clean facilities and store, and implementation of Yesway standards.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensure merchandise is properly placed, priced, and stocked.
• Process sales transactions using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare cooked foods as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Maintain shelves, counters, floors, glass, and equipment according to the store maintenance schedule.
• Stock shelves, block shelves, bag ice, and maintain soft drink bags-in-box.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
