About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. The role requires knowledge of each product area or department, adherence to the visual manual and company standards, and promotion of sales and other offers. As an ambassador for the organization and brand, the Sales Associate creates a distinctive customer experience to acquire and retain customers, while promoting merchandise and delivering outstanding service. The position is in the Operations department and reports to the Store Manager. It is non-exempt.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks precisely.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including greeting customers and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all staff meetings and store tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
