About The Position
The Part-Time Sales Associate supports store sales and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Its central priorities are customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate also supports shipments, restocking, pricing, visual standards, inventory presentation, theft prevention, and keeping the sales floor organized.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify suitable merchandise for customers, meet their needs, and build customer relationships while upholding DTLR standards.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
- Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
- Perform other assigned duties.
