About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships through strong customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers select appropriate merchandise, supports shipments and restocking, follows visual standards, helps prevent theft, and maintains an organized sales environment. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting, carrying, and pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
