KARL STORZ is seeking a Sales Associate to support the greater Maryland South and Washingrton D.C. market and play a critical role in driving growth, customer satisfaction, and product adoption across hospitals, surgery centers, and physician offices. This highly visible role is part of our proven Sales Associate development program, designed to prepare top performers for future Sales Executive opportunities. You'll work alongside experienced sales leaders, gain hands-on exposure in operating rooms, lead product trials and installations, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals who rely on innovative KARL STORZ technology every day.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience, preferably in medical device sales or healthcare-related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of hospital call points, including Operating Room, Bio-Med, and Central Processing Departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be able to travel to customer sites up to 90% of the time and maintain all required hospital credentialing standards.
  • Must reside in the Maryland South or Washington D.C. area.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by supporting product evaluations, demonstrations, trials, and installations.
  • Partner with Sales Executives to develop strategies for winning new business and expanding existing accounts.
  • Provide clinical and technical support in customer environments, including operating rooms and surgical centers.
  • Build trusted relationships with surgeons, nurses, sterile processing teams, materials management, and hospital leadership.
  • Educate customers on product usage, care, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Support service, repair, pricing, and order-related customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, credentialing requirements, and product knowledge.
