About The Position

A family in Washington, DC is seeking a warm, dependable, and experienced part-time nanny to care for their three young children, ages approximately 6 months, 2.5 years old, and 4 years old. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys working with young children while helping keep the household running smoothly during the afternoon and early evening. The schedule is Monday-Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The family resides in a smoke-free and pet-free home. The position requires arriving at 3:00 PM to assist with children's laundry, toy organization, and light tidying, walking to pick up children from nearby schools/daycare, providing attentive care for all three children, preparing light meals and snacks, engaging children in age-appropriate play and activities, and overlapping with parents at the end of the shift to help with the evening transition. Compensation is $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience. All candidates will be subject to a background check and must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Requirements

Experience caring for infants and young children
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified
Strong English communication skills
Dependable, nurturing, and organized
Comfortable managing the routines of multiple young children
Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Spanish or French speakers are also welcomed

Responsibilities

Arrive at 3:00 PM to assist with children's laundry, toy organization, and light tidying
Walk to pick up the children from school/daycare (schools are within a 5–10 minute walk)
Provide attentive care for all three children
Prepare light meals and snacks
Engage the children in age-appropriate play and activities
Overlap with parents at the end of the shift to help with the evening transition
