About The Position

As a Sadler’s Outlet Sales Associate, you will help customers find and purchase furniture for their homes. No previous furniture or sales experience is needed; in-house training provides the knowledge needed for success. The locally owned Alaska Sadler’s Outlet stores are part of the Furniture Enterprises family of stores, which operates 14 stores and has additional locations opening soon. The company offers training and advancement opportunities. During the initial 120-day training period, earnings are guaranteed at $1,680 per pay period. Afterward, associates may remain on the guaranteed pay or earn commissions on sales.

Requirements

• Ability to listen to and understand customers’ needs.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment while also working independently.
• Ability to learn the POS system and general computer programs.
• Ability to move around the showroom floor, frequently walking, bending, sitting, and kneeling.
• Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each customer sincerely and in a friendly manner.
• Listen carefully to customers’ needs.
• Help customers find suitable solutions using the showroom.
• Learn about products through informative meetings with manufacturer representatives.
• Inform customers about the products the stores sell.
