Sadler's Outlet Sales Associate
About The Position
As a Sadler’s Outlet Sales Associate, you will assist customers in purchasing furniture for their homes. No prior furniture or sales experience is required. The company provides in-house training to help associates learn the products and services. Associates earn $1,680 per pay period guaranteed during the initial 120-day training period; afterward, they may remain on the guaranteed amount or earn commissions on sales. Sadler’s Outlet stores in Alaska are locally owned and part of the Furniture Enterprises family of stores. Furniture Enterprises of Alaska operates 14 stores, with more locations opening soon. Requirements
- Ability to listen to and understand customers’ needs.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment while also working independently.
- Ability to learn the POS system and general computer programs.
- Ability to move around the showroom floor, including frequent walking, bending, sitting, and kneeling.
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day.
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and a background check.
Responsibilities
- Welcome each customer in a sincere and friendly manner.
- Listen carefully to customers’ needs.
- Help customers find suitable solutions using the showroom.
- Learn about products through informative meetings with manufacturer representatives.
- Inform customers about the products the store sells.
