About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other assigned responsibilities. The role is expected to be performed professionally, courteously, reliably, and with a results-oriented approach. Associates help customers find suitable products, support store standards and sales goals, and contribute to a safe, orderly, and compliant retail environment. A standard work week is a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 40 hours.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer-service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision, including taking charge of the store when necessary.
• Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and an interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
• A track record of building and working as part of a team, handling responsibility, and understanding the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
• Willingness to work in multiple stores within the assigned district.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships by providing professional, courteous, attentive, honest, and responsive service; identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable product assistance.
• Apply basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building customer relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with and enforce company policies.
• Participate in service training and product programs.
• Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying loss or inventory inconsistencies to help achieve shrink goals at or below the company plan.
• Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
• Support employee training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
• Help minimize inventory shrinkage by guarding against shoplifting and internal theft and following loss-prevention policies and security procedures.
• Follow proper point-of-sale procedures, balance money handled during an assignment, and work with management to investigate discrepancies.
• Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and other information needed for effective management.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
