About The Position

A Part-Time Sales Associate supports sales efforts and customer relationships by providing strong customer service and using selling techniques. The role includes daily store functions such as product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position.

The associate demonstrates basic fashion and trend knowledge, helps customers find appropriate merchandise, and builds customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards. They assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, pricing, visual standards, inventory presentation, loss prevention, and keeping the store neat and organized. The role requires a positive, energetic attitude, compliance with company policies, and participation in service training and product programs.

The position requires standing for extended periods and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. Associates may need to work extended hours during critical project phases and must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Reliable transportation.
