About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers through guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role involves shifting between assisting customers and performing warehouse tasks. You will report to the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Be flexible to work any time within branch hours of operation.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
• Learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
• Identify ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication to different audiences via email, phone, and in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance according to Grainger standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
