About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. This role requires knowledge of the store’s product areas and departments, promotion of sales and merchandise, and adherence to policies, procedures, and standards in the company manuals. The Sales Associate represents the organization and brand by creating a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain customers. The position also supports daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup, shipments, and store maintenance. It has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and precisely.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including welcoming customers and assisting multiple customers during busy periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards outlined in operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals and company communications.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by maintaining accurate and effective internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
