About The Position
A Part-Time Sales Associate supports sales efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and applying selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers select appropriate merchandise, supports shipments, restocking and pricing, follows visual standards, and helps keep the store organized and orderly. The position requires a positive, energetic approach, compliance with company policies, and participation in service training and product programs.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
- Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
- Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, following DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
- Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
- Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain a positive attitude toward the job and company.
- Comply with company policies.
- Participate in service training and product programs.
- Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs as directed by visual guidelines.
- Help prevent employee and customer theft.
- Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
- Help organize the store as directed by store management.
- Perform other assigned duties.
