About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. The role requires knowledge of the store’s product areas and departments, adherence to policies, procedures, and visual standards, and promotion of sales and offers. As an ambassador for the organization and brand, the Sales Associate creates a distinctive customer experience to acquire and retain customers, while promoting merchandise and delivering outstanding service. This position supports daily store operations and sales goals, including customer assistance, merchandise presentation, store upkeep, and shipment tasks. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks accurately.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including assisting customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards, including those in operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals and company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell goods, using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend all store staff meetings and technology clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures are accurate and effective, and report potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
