About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other duties assigned by management. Work is expected to be professional, courteous, reliable, and results-oriented. The standard work week is 35 to 40 hours. The role is based at the Hopple store in Cincinnati, Ohio, and may require working in multiple stores in the assigned district. The position involves helping customers identify and select suitable products, maintaining merchandise and store presentation, supporting operational compliance and loss prevention, and assisting with training and store goals. The associate must be flexible to meet customer and business needs and have reliable transportation. Compensation is $13.25 to $14.25 per hour, and the role is eligible for the company 401(k) plan.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision, including taking charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Proven ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships and assist customers professionally, courteously, attentively, honestly, and responsively.
Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable product assistance.
Use fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining store standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying issues related to loss or store inconsistencies, supporting shrink goals at or below company plan.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support training employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting the store against shoplifting and internal theft and following loss prevention and security procedures.
Follow proper point-of-sale procedures, balance money received during assignments, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and other information needed for effective management.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
