About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. The role requires knowledge of the store’s product areas and departments, adherence to company policies and visual standards, and promotion of sales and special offers. As an ambassador for the organization and its brand, the Sales Associate helps create a distinctive customer experience that attracts and retains customers. The position is part-time, non-exempt, and reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks precisely.
Team-oriented, with a passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including welcoming customers and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in applicable manuals and communications.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by following internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risks.
