About The Position
NORMAN’S, an employee-owned Hallmark Gold Crown retailer, is hiring a part-time Sales Associate for its new Milltown, New Jersey location. Sales Associates help customers celebrate occasions, find comfort, and share everyday moments. They contribute to store goals by providing a genuine customer experience, creating a caring atmosphere, and serving as a primary source of product knowledge on the sales floor. The role calls for initiative, teamwork, and excellence throughout customer interactions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong aptitude for basic math, including percentages and general arithmetic.
- Ability to continuously stand and walk; frequently push and pull; occasionally bend, stoop, crawl, reach above shoulders, kneel, and climb a ladder; and carry up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Customer CARE program by connecting genuinely with customers, building relationships, and earning their business.
- Prioritize the customer in all aspects of the business.
- Consistently meet store-specific Crown Rewards enrollment goals.
- Learn and use the register system, provide a pleasant point-of-sale experience, and maintain cash-register accuracy.
- Use effective selling skills to build sales and customer satisfaction.
- Learn product knowledge for all merchandise and apply it when assisting customers.
- Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
