About The Position

The Associate - Sales position is a full-time, entry-level role with a comprehensive four-month Associate Development Program (ADP). The program provides sales strategies, practices, and industry knowledge to prepare participants for a career as an RRD Sales Associate. The program has a required cohort start date; in Lenexa, Kansas, the listed cohorts begin in February 2027 or July 2027. Some travel is required while shadowing sales representatives. Reliable transportation is required to travel to and from clients within the designated territory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, communications, packaging, economics, or a related field is preferred; an interest in sales is expected.
• Excellent listening skills to understand customer needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High motivation to learn.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and explain return on investment to customers.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
• Driven and motivated to succeed in sales.
• Reliable transportation to travel to and from clients within the designated territory.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience using a CRM, such as Salesforce.
• Sales internship or experience selling.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform RRD's sales steps through training and observation.
• Learn and successfully execute prospecting and cold calling to build new accounts.
• Shadow sales representatives; some travel is required.
• Assist senior sales representatives with sourcing, securing, and managing new and existing business.
• Attend internal and external sales meetings.
• Maintain relationships with existing accounts and customers.
• Build a sales funnel specific to the post-training assignment.
• Continue developing industry knowledge through marketing and sales publications.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
