Sales Associate (Full Time) - Malibu
About The Position
Jenni Kayne is a California-based lifestyle brand focused on an elevated approach to everyday living. The Sales Associate helps maximize store sales by providing welcoming customer service, understanding customers’ needs, building client relationships, and supporting store operations. The role also involves participating in store events, promoting the brand’s rewards and social media, communicating business feedback, and protecting company assets. The position is based in Malibu and pays $24 per hour; the rate is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of experience in retail sales.
- A can-do attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Availability and willingness to work during peak business periods, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience with point-of-sale and inventory management systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Comfort working in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing 20 pounds or more from time to time as required.

- Experience in women's upper contemporary, multi-label, or luxury designer retail.
Responsibilities
- Maximize sales and provide friendly, welcoming customer service.
- Communicate with customers to determine their needs.
- Build relationships with clients and maintain an updated client book.
- Drive sales through consignments and partnerships with interior designers and wardrobe stylists.
- Handle point-of-sale transactions, including sales, exchanges, refunds, gift cards, and gift wrap.
- Support store operations, including maintaining displays, assisting with stock transfers, and receiving new merchandise.
- Participate in store events.
- Encourage customers to sign up for Jenni Kayne Rewards and engage with the brand on social media.
- Share feedback with management and write daily business recaps.
- Secure company assets through loss prevention in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
