About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including providing excellent customer service, driving sales, merchandising, and completing other assigned responsibilities. Duties are expected to be performed professionally, courteously, reliably, and with a focus on results. The role involves helping customers select products, supporting store standards and sales practices, assisting with inventory and loss prevention, and maintaining a neat sales environment. A standard work week is a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 40 hours.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision, including taking charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
A track record of building and working as part of a team, handling responsibility, and understanding the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships by providing professional, courteous, attentive, honest, and responsive service, identifying customer needs, and helping customers select appropriate products.
Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying issues related to store loss or inconsistencies, supporting shrink goals at or below company plan.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support training employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Help minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting the store against shoplifting and internal theft, and follow loss prevention policies and security procedures.
Follow proper point-of-sale procedures, balance money taken in during assignments, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and other relevant information.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
