About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role includes customer service, processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, merchandising and preparing merchandise for the sales floor, and maintaining store recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. Associates support a positive store culture and store shrink-reduction goals while following applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures.

The position is at TJ Maxx Store 1272 in Olive Branch, Mississippi, at 5050 Goodman Road. Starting pay is $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and modeling customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work in multiple store areas when cross-trained to support business needs.
