About The Position

Talbots is hiring a part-time Sales Associate at its Geneva Commons store in Geneva, Illinois. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, promoting merchandise, building customer relationships, and supporting store business. Associates use fashion expertise and product knowledge to help customers create outfits and find products suited to their needs. The position also includes sales and service goals, customer outreach, operational projects, and ongoing participation in learning and coaching opportunities. The role requires availability for 15 to 20 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Use service enhancers, including active use of Concierge, to build strong relationships.
• Serve multiple customers at a time and handle concurrent tasks or projects.
• Stay informed about fashion trends and new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion details.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and suggest items that meet customers’ needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize individual performance.
• Achieve sales and service metrics, including clienteling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, and recovery.
