About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring permanent part-time Sales Associates, also referred to as Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks, for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. The role is based at Store #1506 in Ashbridge Shopping Center in Downingtown. Sales Associates provide customer service, assist with sales, maintain the store, and help process merchandise and wholesale orders. The position offers Affordable Care Act/Bronze Plan medical benefits from the first day of employment and opportunities to develop skills and pursue career advancement. The position requires at least 13 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 32 hours depending on availability and store needs. Shifts are typically 4–8 hours, with rotating weekday and weekend coverage during daytime and evening hours. Work is onsite; employees may be assigned to other stores in the county or district based on operational needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
Must be able to perform the essential job functions.
Must pass a background investigation.
A felony conviction within the last ten years before the prospective employment date disqualifies an applicant from working for the PLCB; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.
Must be available to work at least 13 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service and help shoppers find products.
Process sales transactions using a computerized cash register.
Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders and load them into vehicles.
Lift products weighing 30–50 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds, including overhead or from a squatting position.
Stand for extended periods.
Keep the store clean and organized.
Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
Follow legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers legally permitted to purchase it.
Work collaboratively in a team-oriented retail environment.
