About The Position

The Sales Associate supports store operations by providing hospitality to guests, processing transactions, maintaining a clean and orderly store, and ensuring merchandise is properly priced, placed, and stocked. The role also includes preparing cooked foods as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager and performing other assigned duties. The position requires moving merchandise or equipment weighing up to 60 pounds, standing on concrete floors for a standard eight-hour shift, and receiving and stocking merchandise at various heights, which normally involves stooping, bending, and stretching. Successful completion of required certification testing is required upon employment.

Responsibilities

Ensure hospitality for store guests through timely transactions, store and facilities cleanliness, and implementation of Yesway standards.
Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
Ensure merchandise is properly placed, priced, and stocked.
Process sales transactions using appropriate equipment.
Prepare cooked foods as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
Maintain shelves, counters, floors, glass, and equipment according to the store maintenance schedule.
Stock and block shelves, bag ice, and maintain soft drink bags-in-box.
Perform other duties as assigned.
