About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other duties assigned by management. The role is expected to be performed professionally, courteously, reliably, and with a results-oriented approach. Associates help customers identify suitable products, maintain store standards and presentation, support operational compliance and loss prevention, and assist with employee training. A standard work week consists of a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 40 hours.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work under minimum supervision, including taking charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Proven ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships and provide attentive, professional, courteous, reliable, honest, and responsive service.
Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable product assistance.
Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise while maintaining DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying loss or inconsistencies to help meet shrink goals at or below company plan.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support training employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting against shoplifting and internal theft and following loss prevention and security procedures.
Follow point-of-sale procedures, balance money received during assigned work, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work across multiple stores in the assigned district when needed.
