About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate supports sales efforts and customer relationships by providing strong customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position.

The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, supports shipments, restocking, and pricing, maintains visual standards and an orderly sales environment, and follows company policies and training programs. The role may also involve other duties assigned by store management.

Requirements

• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies.
• Participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
