About The Position

Hollywood Feed is a pet supply retailer founded in Memphis, Tennessee, in the 1950s. The Retail Sales Associate serves customers, helps maintain a safe and efficient store environment, and supports store profitability while following the company’s customer-first policy. The role reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager and offers an hourly wage of $15.00 to $19.00. Associates assist customers with pet-related needs, learn and explain store products, handle point-of-sale and inventory tasks, stock deliveries, participate in educational sessions, and complete regular store maintenance. The position also includes safely driving a company vehicle to deliver same-day orders. Retail employees receive tips, and team members receive employee discounts and free pet food and supplements. Requirements

Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
Proven sales and customer service abilities.
Knowledge of store products or ability to learn quickly.
Ability to operate or learn the point-of-sale system.
Valid driver’s license and at least two years of driving experience, including the learner’s permit period.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Able to lift 50 pounds overhead and repeatedly stock shelves.
Able to bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist frequently.
Able to stand and walk for 8–10 hours.
Able to climb ladders frequently to access products.
Must meet the Safe Driving Policy and be willing to drive a company delivery vehicle.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in accordance with Hollywood Feed’s customer service standards.
Demonstrate knowledge of store products to address customer and pet needs.
Communicate respectfully and openly with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Unload and properly stock product deliveries.
Learn and use the point-of-sale system, including opening and closing registers, creating customer accounts, and processing transactions.
Perform inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
Participate in scheduled Hollywood Feed educational sessions.
Perform weekly store maintenance, including restroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, setting up displays, and updating prices.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Safely operate company vehicles and deliver same-day orders in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Use company-approved biometric authentication systems and safely operate equipment incorporating biometric, video, audio, and other safety technologies.
