About The Position

The Sales Associate works in store operations and reports to Store Management. This role delivers customer service and merchandise knowledge to support customer satisfaction in a dynamic retail setting. The associate is expected to remain engaged with customers, communicate effectively, demonstrate integrity, and contribute to a positive work culture and employee involvement while supporting organizational change.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Ability to perform the listed essential physical functions with or without accommodation: squatting, kneeling, stooping, standing, bending, walking, twisting, reaching above the shoulder, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and using hands for manual dexterity and grasping.

Responsibilities

• Process freight.
• Assist with price changes and markdowns.
• Balance the register according to company policy.
• Bag merchandise efficiently during customer transactions.
• Handle cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and according to company policy.
• Obtain management approval when needed for returns, voids, and checks.
• Perform assigned maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Provide customer service by greeting customers, following fitting room policies, ringing transactions promptly, thanking customers, and inviting them to return.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag.
• Assist management with merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels.
• Explain exchange and refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Assist the Store Manager with loss prevention, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting theft or dishonesty, and following current operational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
