Sales Associate Store
About The Position
As a Sales Associate/Cashier at Maplefields, you will be a front-line representative in the store’s relationship with its customers. During your shift, you will cash out customers, assist customers with self-checkout, monitor and complete age-restricted sales properly, and perform a variety of duties to keep the store clean, stocked, and ready to serve customers. Shifts vary by location and are established according to store business needs. Schedules are flexible and should be discussed with the manager, who will work with employees to find a schedule that provides their desired hours whenever possible. The position is listed as full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate the cash register, accept various forms of payment, make change, and maintain appropriate cash levels.
- Learn to count down and properly close a register at the end of a shift.
- Assist customers with the self-checkout process.
- Properly monitor and complete age-restricted sales.
- Keep coffee full and hot and maintain a clean coffee bar.
- Stock products and maintain product levels, rotating stock so older products are sold first.
- Look for ways to maintain and improve the store’s appearance.
- Keep the register area clean and free of trash and clutter.
- Complete shift tasks assigned by management and respond to other tasks as needed.
- Perform general property maintenance, including sweeping, weeding, shoveling, and salting.
- Operate a lottery terminal.
- Print and file all necessary store-closing reports.
- Complete tasks that prepare the store for morning coffee and breakfast rushes and lunch or afternoon rushes, depending on shift needs.
- Complete cleaning or stocking duties that may be difficult to do during busy daytime hours.
