About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate supports store sales and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are central to the position. The associate helps customers find appropriate merchandise, maintains visual and organizational standards, assists with shipments and restocking, and follows company policies and training programs. The role requires standing for extended periods, handling items weighing up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced retail environment. Reliable transportation is required.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and work flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify appropriate merchandise for customers, meet their needs, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, maintaining an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
