About The Position

As a Wine Merchant you will provide exceptional customer service, while we provide you with a strong wine education training program and the opportunity to learn and taste Arterra’s award winning wines. All while working in a fun, flexible store environment. Wine Rack is your neighbourhood vineyard. For people who want to enjoy wine as part of everyday life, not worship it, Wine Rack is the easy place to find an excellent selection of quality Ontario and International Canadian Blended wines for any occasion. Wine Rack carries over 150 different wines, over 70 of which are VQA approved, from brands such as Jackson-Triggs, Inniskillin, Open, Saintly and Bodacious. We have a wine for everyone and every occasion.

Requirements

• 19 years of age or older
• High School or equivalent education is required
• Smart Serve Certification is required
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job include lifting up to 21 kilograms, standing, reaching, bending and climbing ladders

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Perform POS (point of sales transactions) and merchandising tasks, such as receiving shipments and replenishment
• Meet and exceed shift targets
• Participate in community-driven initiatives and festivals.
