About The Position

The Wine Tasting Associate will be a personable, engaging, and highly energetic individual with a passion for customer service. Excellent representation of the LaBelle Winery brand is imperative for success, and a team mentality is a must. This role involves engaging guests with a welcoming, educational winery experience, emphasizing exceptional customer service. The associate will be the first point of contact for customers, providing information about wines, food, merchandise, history, and the facility. Responsibilities include serving wine samples, conducting winery tours, providing travel and hotel information, stocking and pricing merchandise, handling transactions, expanding wine education, promoting wine clubs, and maintaining dining ambiance. The role requires a strong sales-driven mentality to ensure profitable tastings and adherence to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment

  • Able to handle money accurately and operate a point of sale system
  • Team work
  • High School Diploma
  • Bartending and/or server experience (2 + years)

Responsibilities

  • Engage guests with our welcoming, educational winery with a huge emphasis on customer service; each customer’s experience must be exceptional, dazzling and and memorable.
  • Consistent delivery of outstanding customer service; LaBelle Winery believes it’s the small details that makes experiences memorable.
  • Responsible for providing the first line of information to the customer by greeting, directing and answering questions regarding our wines, food, merchandise, history, and facility.
  • Responsible for greeting guests
  • Responsible for answering phones
  • Responsible for acquiring a strong comprehension of our wines; descriptions, pairings, etc.
  • Serve samples of wine to customers in both small and large settings.
  • Conducting tours of LaBelle Winery
  • Provide travel and hotel information to guests
  • Stocking and pricing merchandise
  • Handling routine purchasing transactions including operating cash registers
  • Responsible for expanding wine education.
  • Wine and vineyard club promotion and sales- build strong customer relations for returns, and to develop community recognization.
  • Retaining/memorizing the menu, and provide recommendations for food, wine or beverages.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen and the staff for a prompt and above satisfactory experience.
  • Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic manner.
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies.
  • Strong sales- driven mentality is imperative. Tastings must be profitable.
