About The Position

The Sales Associate supports the smooth operation of the retail store by stocking inventory, maintaining cleanliness, providing customer service, and handling financial transactions. The role requires staying active and moving around the store to assist customers and maintain the store's image. Duties may be assigned or reassigned by management, and all activities must comply with applicable regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, and ERISA.

Requirements

• Demonstrate active listening, initiative, multitasking, prioritization, operational excellence, and time management.
• Practice proper customer service and suggestive selling techniques.
• Comply with the company uniform policy.
• Understand the store computer system's clock-in and clock-out procedures.
• Be able to lift, stand, and remain active throughout the shift, with frequent movement around the store.
• Have a form of communication through which the employee can be reached.
• Know procedures and operations for the cash register, SNAP purchases, cash control, safe drops, lottery and lotto ticket sales and cashing, beer and wine sales, tobacco sales, and money order sales.
• Complete a certified alcohol sellers' training program.
• No licensure or certification is otherwise required.
