About The Position

Runnings is looking for a driven and hands-on Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) Sales Associate to join our team. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools and power equipment while providing excellent customer service. The OPE Sales Associate supports the day-to-day operations of the Outdoor Power Equipment department. This role focuses on assisting customers, maintaining department organization, and ensuring inventory and freight are handled efficiently. Candidates should have a strong interest in outdoor power equipment and the ability to assemble and troubleshoot small engine tools, especially STIHL products.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, diagnose, and repair outdoor power equipment
Familiarity with brands like STIHL is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Ability to lift and move power equipment

Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable recommendations
Deliver high-quality customer service and support
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department
Help manage inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
Process incoming freight in a timely and efficient manner
Assemble outdoor power equipment such as chainsaws, trimmers, and leaf blowers
Identify basic equipment issues and assist customers with troubleshooting
Stay informed on department products, features, and uses
Support overall store operations and team efforts
