About The Position

Talbots is hiring a Sales Associate Key for its Estero, Florida store. The role delivers meaningful customer service, promotes products and builds brand relationships while supporting store business, sales and service goals, and operational excellence. It involves customer styling and product recommendations, teamwork, store communications, inventory support, and occasionally leading or supervising others and opening or closing the store. This is a regular part-time position.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a high level of integrity.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
• Technological aptitude to navigate POS, computer, iPad, and handheld systems.
• Ability to climb ladders, move around regularly, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 40 pounds.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Customer-centric approach and ability to create exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to build relationships and work toward individual and team goals.
• Passion for selling and ability to find thoughtful ways to maximize store traffic.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Serve multiple customers at a time and manage concurrent tasks or projects.
• Stay informed about fashion trends, new arrivals, and product details such as fit and color.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and recommend items suited to customers' needs.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships that support a productive work environment.
• Communicate store information, brand initiatives, discrepancies, and other pertinent information to management.
• Achieve sales and service metrics, including Talbots Classic Awards.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to improve performance.
• Support operational excellence, including managing inventory, filling orders, processing recalls, recovery, replenishment, and re-ticketing.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet customer and business needs.
• Occasionally lead or supervise others and open or close the store.
• Understand customers' needs and wants through intentional conversation.
