About The Position

Drybar is a blow dry-only bar focused on providing exceptional blowouts. Our receptionists, called "Bartenders," manage the front desk and the entire client experience in a bar-like atmosphere. Bartenders are the heartbeat of the shop, being the first smile and last impression for clients. They set the tone, maintain high energy, and ensure guests feel welcomed, cared for, and confident. This role is fast-paced, people-focused, and ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with others, multitasking, and thrives in a fun, polished, high-energy environment. We seek individuals who take pride in exceptional customer service and excel in a team setting, with a passion for the beauty industry and making people feel their best. Reliability and availability for both weekdays and weekends are essential.

Requirements

• Experience in a fast paced, customer service centric environment
• Previous experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems strongly preferred
• Previous salon/spa experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work at a sustained, fast pace
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Track record in providing over-the-top, amazing customer service!
• Ability to multitask with ease
• Frequently required to stand and/or walk for duration of 6-8 hour long shifts
• Has the technical ability and skills to operate a point-of-sale system
• Problem solver – uses logic and support resources to solve problems at the front desk
• Maintains professional demeanor under pressure
• Must have weekend availability

Responsibilities

• Lead the client experience from check-in to check-out, ensuring Drybar standards are upheld and every visit feels seamless, elevated, and memorable
• Actively engage with clients throughout their visit - creating connection, conversation and an experience that goes beyond just the blowout
• Set the tone for a fun, positive, and high-energy shop atmosphere — think of it as hosting a party, every single day
• Manage reservations and client profiles, troubleshoot booking issues, and optimize the schedule to support both the client experience and business needs
• Support stylists throughout the day by assisting with tools, maintaining flow, and helping ensure the shop runs efficiently behind the scenes
• Keep the shop looking fresh through daily side work, including dusting, sweeping, restocking product shelves, inventory support, and maintaining clean tools, dishes, and glassware
