About The Position

Drybar is a blow dry-only bar focused on providing exceptional blowouts. We are seeking enthusiastic retail sales associates, referred to as Bartenders, to deliver outstanding customer service and manage the social experience within our bar atmosphere. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at making clients smile, building rapport, resolving issues, multitasking, and maintaining a positive shop environment. We are growing rapidly and looking for individuals to join our team immediately.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced, customer service-centric environment (e.g., sales associate, retail sales associate, customer service representative, store associate, salon associate, or similar).
  • Previous experience with Point of Sale Systems strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understand the importance of providing amazing customer service.
  • Promote a professional and brand-appropriate image.
  • Strong communication skills and strong presence.
  • Self-starter with a leadership mentality.
  • Pleasant and positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work at a sustained, fast pace.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Track record in providing over-the-top, amazing customer service!
  • Ability to multitask with ease.
  • Frequently required to stand and/or walk for duration of 6-8 hour long shifts.
  • Has the technical ability and skills to operate a point of sale system.
  • Problem solver – use logic and support resources to solve problems at the front desk.
  • Maintains professional demeanor under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous salon/spa experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the client's experience from check-in to check-out, ensuring Drybar standards are met and creating a memorable experience.
  • Set a positive tone for the shop atmosphere, approaching each day as if hosting a party.
  • Organize and execute shop flow between clients and staff in a positive manner.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the reservation system.
  • Ensure client information is entered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Rebook appointments during check-out, addressing clients by name.
  • Troubleshoot reservation system issues, make changes to client profiles, optimize appointments, and check notes to ensure client needs are met.
  • Optimize and maximize appointments using the reservation system, ensuring timely communication and superior customer service.
  • Engage clients and serve complimentary beverages.
  • Maintain the highest degree of ethics when handling client payments and stylist tips/commissions.
  • Balance the cash drawer at opening, closing, and during shift changes.
  • Problem-solve client concerns or operational issues, focusing on providing an excellent client experience.
  • Maintain overall shop cleanliness, including the front desk area.
  • Communicate clearly with Shop Management regarding shop operations.
  • Educate clients on Drybar products and tools, and replenish inventory after sell-through.

  • Be on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Manager or Manager on Duty.
