About The Position

The Sales Associate/Beauty Advisor creates a memorable shopping experience for customers by advising them on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, nails, and other beauty products. Sally Beauty provides product knowledge and training, while the advisor brings passion and personality to customer interactions. The position also supports store presentation, promotions, transactions, loyalty enrollment, and communication about inventory. A range of schedules and hours is available to suit different needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position requires long periods of standing and walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals.
• May occasionally be exposed to fumes and odors.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Sally Beauty Culture Values.
• Apply product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Follow directions and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
