About The Position

This is a fast-paced, high profile position, supporting the Sr. Vice President of Trade Sales. From administrative tasks, to sales reporting, this role works with every department within Trade and is perfect for a motivated, detail-oriented, and independent person who wants to learn about Children’s publishing.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational, analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office—particularly Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Professional demeanor—phone skills, excellent interpersonal skills with ability to relate to staff members at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workflow to meet critical deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, commitment to quality and strong team player.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
  • Associate’s Degree/College Diploma

Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute weekly sales reports and analysis to Leadership team, including seasonal updates.
  • Coordinate and plan three national sales conferences a year; including organizing and running a weekly meeting, creating agenda, organizing conference, maintaining attendee list, creating and distributing meeting materials, maintaining budget, etc.
  • Send agenda and notes for two Sales Review meetings a month—coordinate with SVP Trade Sales.
  • Update terms of sales of sale, including meet comp agreements and stock offers.
  • Create and distribute laydown contracts.
  • Communicate Sales feedback to publishers in monthly call reports.
  • Field Publisher requests for sales data, business reviews, and partner with marketing on sales assets.
  • Maintain new rep set up and account coding in Oracle, approve invoices in Catalyst.
  • Administrative assistance for SVP Trade Sales including calendar management, arranging business travel, managing expense reports, etc.
