Join the COBS Bread Family in Pickering! COBS Bread is seeking enthusiastic Sales Assistants to join their bakery in Steeple Hill (Pickering). The company aims to create an environment that helps employees thrive and spread joy through quality, freshly baked products. Sales Assistants are the heart of the bakery, responsible for delivering a unique and delightful customer experience. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining a clean and inviting bakery, and learning about bread and pastry production. Closing shifts have special responsibilities for the care and maintenance of the bakery while ensuring high standards of customer service.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic individuals ready to bring their passion for fresh baked goods and customer service to life.
• Friendly demeanor and a positive attitude.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills.
• Team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent hand usage and some lifting of bakery products (up to 22 kg).
• Comfortable navigating an active bakery environment that includes bending and reaching where needed.

Nice To Haves

• No prior experience required.
• Experience in retail or food service is an asset.
• Prior closing roles experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with your team to provide outstanding service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Engage with customers to discover their favorite products and assist in their selections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting bakery while promoting current marketing initiatives.
• Learn how to assist with bread and pastry production during quieter times.
• Special responsibilities for the care and maintenance of our bakery during closing shifts.
