This role provides a flexible work environment to learn essential sales skills such as prospecting, sales presentation, and contract management. This entry-level, part-time position offers hourly compensation and will not exceed 27 hours per week.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize, multi-task and pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communicator (oral and written) including desire to ask questions and learn from others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and familiar with the Internet.
  • Reliable, clean transportation required.
  • If holding an active Real Estate License, it must be placed on inactive status during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales Counselor and Sales Associates with all aspects of selling and marketing the community.
  • Open the model in the morning by arriving on time to unlock, turn off exterior lights, check radio, inspect interior and exterior for cleanliness, and report deficiencies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the model and completed inventory, including vacuuming, wiping countertops, emptying trash, and light cleaning.
  • Consistently monitor the model and inventory throughout the day for cleanliness and order, unlocking spec-home inventory and putting up 'open' signs as required.
  • Adhere to all safety program requirements at all times.
  • Meet and greet all incoming customers promptly when the Sales Counselor is not present, obtain registration cards, and attempt to set up follow-up appointments.
  • Assist the Sales Counselor in communicating pertinent information to customers and retrieving necessary information for follow-up.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of marketing materials and office supplies, and be familiar with procedures for acquiring necessary supplies.
  • Assist the Sales Counselor with lead management, entering registration cards into the LMS system, and assigning follow-up.
  • Maintain the Sales Counselor’s filing system, all contract documents, and their processing.
  • Maintain current house files and accurate spec inventory in the MLS system, web page, and other inventory outlets.
  • Assist the Sales Counselor and Sales Associate with submitting sales contract packages to the appropriate departments.
  • Support the construction team by typing letters, making copies, reproducing house files, and faxing information when sales office duties are completed.
  • Contact buyers and vendors to assist with appointments during the building process, as needed.
  • Prepare an accurate Closing Objectives report and provide copies to participants in the weekly sales/construction meeting.
  • Assist in coordinating closings, including scheduling times with the Title Company, realtors, and construction staff, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete and on time.
  • Be available to work at Realtor functions, luncheons, and community grand openings.
  • Assist the Sales Counselor in marketing the subdivision and generating traffic through approved methods.
  • Have a 'lot fit' book available for all lots and plans on the subdivision program outline and inventory homes.
  • Ensure all 'Starts' have proper paperwork completely filled out with necessary approvals before submitting to Architecture.
  • Be knowledgeable of the Community’s Architecture guidelines and plan repetition rules.
  • Close the model in the evening by applicable closing time, turning on exterior lights, visually inspecting for deficiencies, checking window latches, arming the security system, and locking all doors.
  • Lock all spec-home inventory and take down 'open' signs as required.
