About The Position

Nordstrom is holding a Hiring Event on Thursday, September 17, from 11 am to 5 pm at the Old Orchard Center store (4937 Old Orchard Center, Skokie, IL 60077). No appointment is necessary; candidates can attend anytime during the event for an interview. The interview process is expected to take approximately 1 hour, and on-the-spot job offers will be made for most roles. The company is hiring for Sales positions in Women's Apparel, Men's Apparel, Lingerie, Kidswear, Active & Shoes, and Support positions including Fulfillment, Retail Cashier, and Sales Floor Support. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and if unable to attend the event, applications will still be considered.

Requirements

Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift.
Ability to frequently bend, twist, squat, flex, and reach.
Ability to use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to reach for and lift bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds (Stock/Logistics Only).
Sales roles may receive commission varying based on merchandise sold (3% to 14.5% for apparel, shoes, accessories; 3% for Beauty and Men’s Fragrance).
