About The Position

The Sales and Service Technician is a hybrid retail role and a pipeline for future career growth within Firestone Complete Auto Care. The position serves customers by assessing their needs, recommending appropriate products and services, performing entry-level vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction through thorough and timely service. The technician learns all aspects of store operations and flexes between customer-facing responsibilities and basic vehicle service tasks. Customer service, sales, and issue resolution account for approximately 75% of the role; basic vehicle service tasks such as oil, tires, and fluids account for approximately 25%. Store operations, including opening and closing, inventory, and displays, are handled as needed. The technician may assist the Manager or act as Manager-On-Duty in certain circumstances or as part of development. The listed pay range is $17.39–$27.17.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid automobile driver's license.
• Customer service and career-growth mindset.
• Ability to learn and perform basic vehicle service tasks.
• Ability to learn and operate store systems.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year degree or non-traditional education through completion of a training program, certification, or other evidence of a growth mindset.
• Previous consumer retail sales experience.
• Previous automotive experience.
• Previous management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Provide customer service, make sales, and resolve customer issues.
• Perform basic vehicle service tasks, including work involving oil, tires, and fluids.
• Complete services thoroughly and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Learn and flex between front-of-store customer interactions and back-shop tasks.
• Support store operations, including opening and closing, inventory, and displays, as needed.
• Assist the Manager or act as Manager-On-Duty in certain circumstances or to support development.
• Learn all aspects of store operations.
