About The Position

The Hajoca Summer Rotational Internship Program is a ten-week paid rotational internship designed for college students interested in business leadership and wholesale distribution. The program offers hands-on experience in logistics, operations, sales, and customer service within Hajoca Corporation, the largest privately held wholesale distributor in the nation specializing in plumbing, heating and air-conditioning, industrial pipes-valves-fittings, and pool and waterworks supplies. Interns will gain exposure to daily operations of a Profit Center, starting with shipping, receiving, deliveries, and warehouse management, then moving into counter sales, inside sales, and outside sales. The final four weeks involve working on a special project assigned by the Profit Center manager to test and sharpen operational, sales, and service skills.

Requirements

College student status.
A burning desire to lead a team and pursue entrepreneurial ventures.
Demonstrated leadership skills through involvement in student clubs, sports, or volunteer organizations.
The ability to excel in a wide range of tasks, showcasing both interpersonal and critical-thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous exposure to sales, operations, and/or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

Gain practical experience in shipping, receiving, deliveries, and warehouse management.
Explore the sales side of the business, interacting with customers and vendors in counter sales, inside sales, and outside sales.
Work on a special project designed to test and sharpen operational, sales, and service skills.
Tackle real-life challenges faced by industry experts under mentorship.
