The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for managing the sales process within the community. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, hospitals, and other referral sources to drive admissions. The Director collaborates with all levels of the organization to ensure the community's image and reputation align with company values, aiming to make it the preferred choice for prospective residents and their families. The position requires achieving community census goals and annual budget projections by generating leads, scheduling tours, advancing the sales process, and meeting set goals. The role also acts as a liaison between the community and the outside community, working with local agencies to foster a positive image and encourage referrals. Participation in industry trade shows and the development of strategies to maximize admissions are key aspects of this role. The Director will also schedule and conduct resident screenings to determine care needs and insurance coverage, coordinate admissions, and complete all necessary admission paperwork. A thorough understanding of current regulations governing assisted living facilities is required, along with the ability to collect data for monthly reports and attend admissions/operations meetings. The role involves participating in quality improvement initiatives by identifying and reporting customer service issues, and pursuing ongoing education as approved. Adherence to company and community policies, including safety, quality improvement, and infection control, is mandatory. The Director will contribute to the community's public image and must be able to drive a company vehicle. The position also entails ensuring residents and families receive high-quality service with compassion and respect for their needs and rights, reporting occupational exposures and work-related injuries, completing assigned training, and participating in all life safety and emergency drills and training. Fulfilling responsibilities during emergency plan activation, assisting with resident evacuation, maintaining confidentiality of Protected Health Information, reporting non-compliance, protecting residents from abuse, and reporting any allegations of abuse, retaliation, discrimination, or suspicion of a crime are also critical duties. The role may perform other duties as requested.
