About The Position

The Pod Group (PG) is an HR consulting team that provides strategic human resources services for clients in various sectors such as social services, developmental disabilities, housing, mental health, and community health care. The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in The Pod Group’s growth and expansion of HR services. The position’s mission is to support the team with business development initiatives with the intent to build community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Must be highly organized, effectively operating with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Outgoing, professional, and assertive in communication with an emphasis on building and supporting client relationships.
  • Ability to conduct cold calls confidently and persistently is an asset.
  • Highly effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong administrative, research, and data collection skills.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and entrepreneurial with excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Goal-oriented and driven to go above and beyond meeting targets.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong skills in social media – i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Canva, etc. would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PG’s growth and expansion of services, with a focus on developing community partnerships in support of our not-for-profit portfolio.
  • Generate new client relationships and connect with target organizations through a number of direct and indirect avenues, including social media and direct phone communication (cold calling with an approach to offer assistance, understanding needs, and providing solutions).
  • Research, evaluate and develop plans to expand our portfolio of services into new markets.
  • Document and maintain an ongoing contact list with organizational leaders. Provide detailed monthly updates on all calls and forecasting.
  • Regularly conduct inquiries, promoting PG across all sectors.
  • Schedule and help facilitate “Meet and Greet” meetings to promote PG and sell our services.
  • Attend not-for-profit community table meetings and AGMs and participate as a representative for PG.
  • Identify and promote potential grant opportunities for the not-for-profit sector. Support the team with grant and RFP applications as needed.
  • Support the social media strategy tied to the growth and expansion strategy.
