About The Position

Human Interest is dedicated to ensuring that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits, addressing the significant portion of working Americans who are not saving enough for their future due to a lack of employer-offered plans. As a high-growth fintech company, Human Interest is making retirement savings affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses. This role is crucial in supporting the setup and launch of new clients' 401(k) plans while representing White Label partners. The Specialist will be on the front lines, working with a diverse range of companies to help them establish and launch their retirement plans. This position requires owning the sales activation process, ensuring client and partner engagement, and maintaining client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is process-driven, people-focused, organized, friendly, and flexible. Accountability for key performance metrics, identifying and escalating operational blockers, and maintaining a high volume of plan launches with exceptional customer experience are essential. This role is for individuals energized by helping business owners achieve their goals, meeting monthly targets, and thriving in fast-paced environments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with retirement plan design, particularly in 401(k) plans.
  • 3+ years of customer implementation or sales experience in a SaaS environment or retirement industry.
  • A "people person" who enjoys interacting with clients and can communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Energy and passion for onboarding a high volume of customers monthly; velocity is key.
  • Strong work ethic, proactively following up with customers and keeping them on track.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks with varying deadlines and stakeholders.
  • A desire to learn new programs, systems, and expand knowledge of the retirement industry and product.
  • A strong focus on quality.
  • Ability to adapt to various client systems and user interfaces and troubleshoot software issues.
  • Strong PC skills, including experience with G-Suite products.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate extensively with customers to identify their needs and help them establish their 401(k) plans.
  • Educate, guide, and inform newly signed customers about their choices for employee retirement savings.
  • Meet monthly activation targets by managing client pipelines, timelines, and objections to keep clients engaged.
  • Ensure adherence to process and talk tracks.
  • Actively follow onboarding workflows to increase velocity, remove bottlenecks, and drive operational excellence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and Leadership to resolve customer escalations and improve the sales activation experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales and account management to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Drive processes forward by managing internal and external stakeholders to keep customers engaged, happy, and on-track.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external clients, focusing on needs-driven solutions.
  • Identify potential areas for process improvement to support team scaling.
