About The Position

ProGreen is seeking a Sales Account Manager to develop new business opportunities within the Northern California territory. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of clients including contractors, landscape architects, municipalities, schools, developers, and property owners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prospecting, conducting customer meetings and site visits, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing a sales pipeline. The position requires a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills, a professional approach, and the ability to work independently while managing a large geographic territory. Requirements

  • Previous sales experience in the turf industry.
  • Strong knowledge of artificial turf products, applications, and installation processes.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and closing sales opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
  • Must reside within the Northern California region.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Experience using CRM software to manage leads, opportunities, and customer relationships.
  • Ability to prepare proposals, estimates, and sales presentations.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, and cloud-based applications in the field.
  • Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Teams or Zoom.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities within the Northern California territory.

  • Prospect through networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and product presentations.
  • Develop proposals and coordinate with estimating and operations teams.
  • Negotiate pricing, project scope, and contract terms.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Represent ProGreen at industry functions, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Achieve or exceed established sales and revenue goals.
