About The Position

Modash is seeking a Sales Account Executive to join their growing team in Toronto. The company aims to double its output in the next 18 months and is expanding its sales force. The sales team is inbound marketing-focused, allowing Account Executives to dedicate 100% of their time to customer interaction and providing a world-class experience. This role will focus on North American accounts and emphasizes a customer-first approach, ensuring every company receives the best possible guidance, even if Modash isn't the right fit for them.

Requirements

  • A proven track record in closing deals.
  • Experience managing an inbound sales process in a SaaS company or similar consultative sales experience in a fast-growing startup environment.
  • Knowledge of B2B sales.
  • Curiosity and empathy to be a good listener, understand client drivers, and be hungry for new ways to improve sales.
  • Resilience to overcome constant obstacles, rejection, and failures.
  • Results orientation with a mindset of understanding performance, progress, and steps to achieve personal goals.
  • An ambitious character who sets a high bar in life.
  • A get-it-done attitude, with the ability to find solutions, self-motivate, and keep getting things done.
  • Aspiration to be great, not mediocre.
  • Interest in the Creator Economy, with values aligning with the company's mission to help creators get paid.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

  • Experience selling to marketing teams, e-commerce brands, or in the creator economy.
  • Familiarity with how Shopify brands run their growth and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering and building best customer experiences by running deep customer discovery, going above and beyond to help customers solve problems, and curating relevant demos and materials.
  • Continually learning and refining knowledge on running effective creator partnerships and polishing customer-centric sales skills.
  • Maintaining a personal pipeline and closing deals by working a full inbound pipeline from first call to close.
  • Facilitating regular meetings, primarily with European timezones.
  • Maintaining a balance between capturing new deals and winning existing ones.
  • Driving product adoption during sales cycles to close long-term contracts and increase retention.
  • Creating deal plans to identify missed gaps and new potential opportunities.
  • Moving deals forward with clear follow-ups and next steps.
  • Keeping CRM accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborating with Finance to solve procurement, billing, and legal issues.
  • Collaborating with Success on handovers and expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborating with Marketing to build customer-facing resources and ensure lead engagement.
  • Collaborating with Support to escalate and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborating with Product to impact the future Modash roadmap.
